Headlines: Linda Ikeji Buys Fake Hermes Bag

I guess it's true what they say; maturity is a thing of the mind not age. Like I have said before, you maybe old age wise, but that doesn't qualify you to be a mature person.
Can someone please tell me why a successful woman would act so childish on social media? I used to look up to this woman as a fellow blogger. Now I'm beginning to question my decision. I honestly did not except such from her. I mean, the woman inspired me to blog. It's a shame that I have to blog about her, and it's not in a positive way.
Everyone is tagging the whole drama as "New Money Syndrome". Well I guess that's the difference between New Money and Old Money. I will not deny the fact that the bants on Twitter and Instagram about Linda had me rolling on the floor with laughter. It was a fun night for me, I'm sure it was for those of you who were online that day. Nigerians crack me up, no jokes. I can't believe that someone took it upon herself to actually confirm from Hermes if they were real (this is the kind of initiative Nigeria needs to move to greater heights).
Seriously though, how do you take a picture of your bags to show off your wealth and it turns out that the bag is fake, then you have the mind to argue on social media and take more pictures?(that's something) Do you have no shame? Does she honestly think that her instagram fight was a big improvement on her career?
I was shocked to my core when I saw the caption of one of the "fake" bags on instagram "...took another picture on my bed in my N500m mansion in banana Island" What's up with that? Linda if you are reading this, that's NOT Cool!! You don't say that, EVER!
This just goes to show that maturity truly doesn't come with money and age. Linda I'm sorry to say but you lack maturity. I understand the anger one might feel when someone tells you that an expensive item you bought is a fake, but that doesn't mean you have to stoop to their level. It doesn't excuse her behaviour at all. I mean, she could use that money to help poor kids and give back to the society, instead she uses it to buy ridiculously expensive material things, as if that's not enough, she posts it on instagram and acts childish. That's just sad.

Rome Was Not Built In A Day!

I saw this article and it spoke to me. I know some of you would benefit from it. Hope it inspires you as it inspired me.
HARDCORE TRUTH ABOUT MARRIAGE! !!!!
1. There is nothing that threatens the security of a wife than the thought of another woman competing for the attention and affection of her husband. Nothing is more painful. Nothing is more disrespecting. Nothing is more insulting. Nothing is more belittling and degrading.
2. Marriage flourishes when the couple works together as a team; when both husband and wife decide that winning together is more important than keeping score.
Good marriages don't just happen. They are a product of hard work.
3. Your children are watching you and forming lasting opinions on love, commitment, and marriage based on what they see in you. Give them hope. Make them look forward to marriage.
4. Husbands: The reason why other women look attractive is because someone is taking good care of them. Grass is always green where it is watered. Instead of drooling over the green grass on the other side of the fence, work on yours and water it regularly. Any man can admire a beautiful woman, but it takes a true gentleman to make a woman admirable and beautiful.
5. When a husband puts his wife first above everyone and everything except God, it gives his wife the sense of security and honor that every wife hungers for.
6. A successful marriage doesn't require a big house, a prefect spouse, a million dollars or an expensive car. You can have all the above and still have a miserable marriage. A successful marriage requires honesty, undying commitment and selfless love and Jesus at the center of it all.
7. Pray for your spouse every day; in the morning, in the afternoon and at evening. Don’t wait until there is a problem. Don’t wait until there is an affair. Don’t wait until something bad happens. Don’t wait until your spouse is tempted. Shield your spouse with prayer and cover your marriage with the fence of prayer.
8. The people you surround yourself with have a lot of influence on your marriage. Friends can build or break your marriage; choose them wisely.
9. One spouse cannot build a marriage alone when the other spouse is committed to destroying it. Marriage works when both husband and wife work together as a team to build their marriage.
10. Don't take your spouse for granted. Don't take advantage of your spouse's meekness and goodness. Don't mistake your spouse's loyalty for desperation. Don't misuse or abuse yours spouse's trust. You may end up regretting after losing someone that meant so much to you.
11. Beware of marital advice from single people. Regardless of how sincere their advice may be, most of it is theoretical and not derived from real life experiences. If you really need Godly advice, seek it from God-fearing, impartial and prayerful mature couples whose resolve has been tested by time and shaped by trials.
12. Dear wife, Don't underestimate the power of the tongue on your marriage. The tongue has the power to crush your marriage or build it up. Don't let the Devil use your tongue to kill your spouse's image, self-confidence and aspirations. Let God use your tongue to build up your marriage and bless and praise your spouse.

It's Sex Talk Again.

Okay, so I feel like I came off a bit feminist in my last post on sex. I might have sounded a tad bit judgmental and I apologise for that. Truth is I wrote that piece while I was a bit angry. So I'm going to tackle this topic from a guy's point of view.
Well, we all know that guys have a higher libido than girls do (if you didn't know that, now you do). They are prone to be more horny than most girls. And I'm starting to understand them.
Girls, it doesn't help anyone when you go out dressed in skimpy clothes. You dress half naked to leave your house and then you expect guys not to look at you with lust in their eyes. Niggeress, if you're gonna dress the part, play the role. You can't make a guy hot for you and tell him you're not going to sleep with him. Nobody likes a tease.
I want to make it clear that I'm not defending the actions of guys. As a matter of fact, I'm not defending anyone neither am I on anyone's side.
Both boys and girls have to look at other things in a partner asides sex. Like I said earlier, you need to get to know each other better. And oh it's so true that some girls would rather have sex than talk to you. And it's also true that some guys would like to get to know you better by talking to you rather than having sex with you all the time....psych!!! Lmao. I crank myself up sometimes. But seriously, I do know some gentlemen who can put off sex. And my hat goes off to them, respect! It's not an easy thing to do but it's possible guys and girls.

Types and What Not

Everyone in this world has a type. Don't kid yourself to think that you don't have a type. You know that thing you like in a person that you expect to see in your partner? Yeah, that's called having a type.
Now, I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to have a type, but sometimes that can be in the way of true love. Yes, I agree that sometimes it's not so much of having a type than it is having things you like and don't like in a person. Somethings are just a major turn off for me (not gonna bore you with details).
You need to step out of your way and stop obstructing your happiness. Girls, he doesn't need to be tall, fair and slim before you can love him. And guys, she doesn't need to have ass or boobs before you can love her. Try to see beyond the exterior looks. Get to know him or her beyond the surface. It is okay to be attracted to his or her appearance but don't let that be the only thing that you like. Think of it this way, beauty and looks may fade away but a person's personality cannot fade.
I would like to point out that there is no shame in being attracted to someone's appearance, it doesn't make you vain. What makes you vain is forcing yourself not to love a person just because of the person's appearance.
So throw away the "type" thing and let yourself find true love. I promise you, that if you look past all that, you just might see that person that you are meant to be with clearly..
